What should I do before I emigrate to Cyprus?

We recommend that you do the following things before you deregister in your home country:

1. Open a convenient Online Banking Account and Online Depot in your home country if you don't already have one. Like Revolut or N26. Banks in Cyprus are expansive and strict due to regulations. And it's much easier to open a bank account in your home country and change your address after emigration.
2. Apply for a (genuine) Credit Card if you don't already have/use one. If you avoid Cyprus Banks, it will be hard to get exciting benefits and reasonable pricing.
3. Get a Travel Health Insurance! In some cases (like we experienced during Covid), it can take longer than expected to get your yellow slip and access to national healthcare. Better to be safe.
4. Find an apartment in Cyprus. It's easy, and we can assist you with that.

Don't forget to cancel all contracts and subscriptions you no longer need. Some terminations will require the previous deregistration in the home country. i.e., your Health Insurance.
