What certificates do I need to do business with my company?
When your company is registered, you will get the following company certificates and information:
- your company registration number (HE number)
- the company's office address certificate
- the company's directors and secretaries certificate
- the company's shareholders certificate
With these certificates, you can already sign contracts on behalf of your company. For example, to rent an office, register for water/electricity, to subscribe to an internet plan, or, more importantly, to open a bank account.
To write invoices or for cross-border payments, better wait for your tax identification code (TIC) and your VAT registration. Both will be applied right after your successful company registration and can take 1 up to 2 weeks. Also, foreign online banks will most likely ask for your TIC when opening an account.
Hint: A company stamp may be useful but is not mandatory.
